The Gaming Board is the state regulatory and law enforcement agency that regulates all aspects of casino gambling, video gaming and sports wagering.

Qualifications
IL residents. Members, or their immediate families, must not have financial interest in gambling operations supervised by Gaming Board or Racing Board; must be knowledgeable in practice and principles of gambling operations; must not be convicted of or indicted for a felony in any state. Cannot hold any other public office for which he shall receive compensation, other than expenses. No more than 3 members of the Board may be from the same political party. No Board member shall, within a period of one year immediately preceding nomination, have been employed or received compensation or fees for services from a person or entity, or its parent or affiliate, that has engaged in business with the Board, a licensee, or a licensee under the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975. Board members must publicly disclose all prior affiliations with gaming interests, including any compensation, fees, bonuses, salaries, and other reimbursement received from a person or entity, or its parent or affiliate, that has engaged in business with the Board, a licensee, or a licensee under the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975. This disclosure must be made within 30 days after nomination but prior to confirmation by the Senate and must be made available to the members of the Senate.
Compensation
$300 per diem plus expenses
Composition
One member who has received, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree from an accredited school and at least 10 years of verifiable experience in the fields of investigation and law enforcement. One member with experience in auditing and with knowledge of complex corporate structures and transactions. One member who has 5 years' experience as a principal, senior officer, or director of a company or business with either material responsibility for the daily operations and management of the overall company or business or material responsibility for the policy making of the company or business. One member who is an attorney licensed to practice law in Illinois for at least 5 years.
